About TAC

Thredbo Alpine Club is a private club
catering to members and their guests. Established in 1957, the club has grown
considerably over the years to become a successful, friendly and welcoming
environment in which to enjoy alpine sports in Thredbo.
TAC actively promotes the sport of
skiing through the Club's Ski Development Program for children of members, and a race
program in august for adult members. The Club was one of a group of four original clubs
that started the Thredbo Interclub Races which now regularly attract 180 racers
from 12 or more clubs. The Thredbo Children's Interclub race, initiated 30 years ago by TAC, has become an integral part of the Thredbo winter calendar. TAC boasts an Australian representative to the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics among its members. That same member
earned a silver medal in the World Championships in 2001.
The Club is a perfect place to relax after a day of activity in the outdoors. Only a short walk to valley terminal, the Club is conveniently located and enjoys magnificent views of the mountain. The comfortable and well appointed surroundings of the common areas evoke a warm and friendly Club and family atmosphere, allowing members and guests of all ages to meet and enjoy their stay together. Accommodation is offered in 16 twin share rooms and there is onsite car parking for nine cars.
