Due to ongoing upward pressures on the costs of running the Lodge, the Board has had to increase to the Annual Subscription rate for 2024 by 10.5% . The total of the Club's anticipated fixed costs for 2024 is 13.1% higher than our 2023 budget figure. In this inflationary environment and with membership numbers remaining static (i.e. new members to the Club are merely replacing resigned members, not increasing overall membership numbers) the Board has no option but to increase Annual Subscriptions in order to substantially cover the fixed costs of running the Lodge or risk destabilising the good financial position the Club's Directors are obliged to maintain. 

 

It's timely for Members to consider that given the age of the building, there are inevitable ongoing maintenance costs as well as a number of fairly major capital items that the Club will need to fund in the next two to three years, such as the replacement of windows and attention to exterior cladding which is deteriorating in certain areas. With these considerable and as yet uncosted outlays ahead, we consider imprudent any thought of subsidising Annual Subscription Fees from funds previously set aside.

ORDINARY MEMBERS

The 2024 annual subscription for ordinary members is $685 (GST included) and may be paid either as:

 

One lump sum of $685 payable by 31 December 2023

(increasing to $730 for payment received after this date)

OR

Three instalments of

$230 payable by 31 December 2023

(increasing to $245 for payment received after this date)

$230 payable by 31 January 2024

(increasing to $245 for payment received after this date)

$225 payable by 28 February 2024

(increasing to $240 for payment received after this date)

 

MEMBERS 18-25 AND SENIOR MEMBERS

The 2024 annual subscription for members 18-25 and senior members is $342 (GST included) and may be paid either as:

     

One lump sum of $342 payable by 31 December 2023

(increasing to $365 for payment received after this date)

OR

     Three instalments of

$115 payable by 31 December 2023

(increasing to $122 for payment received after this date)

$115 payable by 31 January 2024

(increasing to $122 for payment received after this date)

$112 payable by 28 February 2024

(increasing to $121 for payment received after this date)

Members will not be able to make bookings if their subscription is not paid by the due date(s) indicated. 

 

Where subscriptions remain unpaid at 31 March 2024, a Member will be deemed un-financial. Ultimately unfinancial members may lose their membership, unless extenuating circumstances can be shown.

 

The subscription must be paid in full before financial status and membership rights will be reinstated.

 

OVERSEAS MEMBERS

If a member is absent from Australia from 1st January for a period of nine (9) months or more, their subscription may be reduced to $342.

 

If a member has been resident overseas for three years or more and will continue to reside overseas for the subscription year to follow, their subscription may be reduced to $150.

 

N.B. An Overseas Subscription Declaration must be completed and submitted before either of these reductions will apply.
